Responsibilities: Work with little to no supervisionClean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machineryTroubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizersInstall and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentRepair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipmentBuilding maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeepRepair and assess electrical issues as they ariseAble to familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectationsMust be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as requiredMust participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call programUnderstands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent – Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot preferred but not requiredKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturingPLC experience preferredExperience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferredExperience in high speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, use arms and hands to feel or reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on occasion, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may work with materials that could irritate eyes, skin and breathing. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required. The employee will be working near and/or with high-speed automated equipment. Responsibilities: Oversees, plans and issues work orders to appropriate shift team members for the implementation of equipment modifications as well as preventative and any corrective maintenance.Prepares andcoordinates maintenance resources and provides recommendations for capital and continuous improvement projects.Reviews the operation of equipment with appropriate personnel to identify maintenance issues in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity and Customer Satisfaction.Reviews location’s Key Performance Indicators KPIs (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) to make recommendations for improving plant operations, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and maintenance problem resolution.Tracks, analyzes and improves the Maintenance department’s KPIs.Engages employees in problem resolution in order to improve production issues/efficiencies utilizing Lean Manufacturing techniques as needed.Fosters a positive working environment and drives Maintenance team to meet set productivity targets and performance standards.Ensures all regulatory compliance with various governmental agencies such as city, county, state is met on a consistent basis.Monitors and reviews Maintenance budget on a monthly basis; Prepares and implements annual budget each fiscal year.Assists in recruitment process of Maintenance personnel.Ensures Maintenance employees are properly trained in all aspects of their jobs. Identifies training gaps and develops training plans as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.
