Works under the general direction of the Laboratory Medical Director, Laboratory Director and Laboratory Manager.Core Job ResponsibilitiesApplies knowledge in the handling of specimens from accessioning to final specimen stage. Performs complex postmortem examinations and surgical tissue specimen examination. Performs gross specimen gross photography as needed. Helps maintain Standard Operating Procedures, ordering or supplies and general maintenance of the morgue and gross room. Maintains up to date inventory and overall quality of morgue and gross room. Takes call as needed.
