If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.We are currently seeking a IT Facilities Design Engineer to join our team in Yonkers, New York (US-NY), United States (US).**This role requires working onsite daily at our client's facility and requires employee to be fully vaccinated on or before start date, to the extent required by applicable law.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Oversight: Design rack elevations, including cable management, cooling and ventilation, power distribution, compliance and documentation utilizing AutoCAD to create and edit design layouts for IDF/MDF installations.Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for materials, services, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and implement preventative maintenance plans for all IT facilities equipment and infrastructure, documenting procedures and outcomes.Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive records and reports relevant to operations, maintenance, and compliance within the industry.Shift Management: Oversee rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring adequate coverage and response capability.Physical Demands: Perform physical tasks associated with the role, including lifting (50 lbs or more), climbing ladders, and maintaining agility in varied positions.Basic RequirementsExperience: 3+ years of experience in a IT infrastructure environment Physical Ability: Capable of standing for extended periods, climbing, and performing manual tasks as necessary.Driving Record: Valid and insurable driving recordAdditional Skills Proficient in AutoCAD and Visio, with substantial experience in cable and fiber installation and troubleshooting.Project Management: Experience with request and change management processes, as well as scheduling for preventative maintenance.Safety Awareness: Ability to wear and work with various forms of personal protective equipment as required by job duties.Proficient in reading and interpreting floor plans, blueprints and schematics.Experience using voltage testing equipment, UPSs and HVAC systems.Understanding of fiber optic test dataFamiliar with OSP/ISP engineering cable design and connectivity Education/Certification PreferencesAssociate's degree in technology or with a minimum of five years of related experience in IT Facility technology environment.Prior knowledge of Mission Critical or Data Center environments is highly preferred.AutoCAD certification.Communication SkillsStrong comprehension and interpretation skills for instructions, memos, and reports.Ability to write routine correspondence and respond effectively to inquiries from clients, coworkers, and supervisors.Capable of presenting information clearly to both small teams and large groups.Working ConditionsThis position requires flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve on-call responsibilities for emergencies.Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $102,000 - $128,400. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
