Responsibilities include collecting customer outstanding receivable balances by enforcing terms of sale; timely analysis and making decisions for resolution of over/short payments and deductions/claims; reviewing and taking action on orders on hold: responding to internal and external customer inquiries; creating reports and analysis: assessing and changing procedures to incorporate new requirements and improve efficiency; other tasks and special projects as needed.The AR Analyst must be self-reliant and make independent decisions exercising good judgment. This position interacts with all levels of management internally and externally to minimize risk and improve profitability and the collections cycle. They serve as the main point of contact in identifying and resolving issues that impact receivables.Responsibilities:Active participation with driving results to meet individual. team and department objectivesOngoing process improvement focus. making recommendations and participating and or leading implementations to improve department efficiencyEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with customers and other functional groups at all levels including executive decision makers.Keep management apprised of unusual or non-standard issues and escalate when appropriate.Provide coverage during hours of responsibility for internal and external customersOther tasks/projects as neededAnalyst has overall responsibility for a receivable portfolioIndependently plan, analyze and carry out collection of past due accountsConduct timely research, analysis and decision malting tor resolution of deductions and disputed items, short/over-paymentsReconcile accounts in timely manner; analysis of transactions and initiate Credits and adjustments to accounts, as well as accurate dealing of corresponding credits and debitsIdentify and resolve order-to-cash root cause issues that impede invoicing, collections and deduction resolution. Includes initiating and driving across functional resolutions.Review orders on credit hold and personally take appropriate action to ensure delivery dates metInitiate and maintain complete, accurate and updated records of contacts, collection activities and account reconciliationsFinancial risk analysis to update credit limits within level of authority and/or makeRecommendations to management.Requirements: BA/ BS in related discipline highly preferred or equivalent experienceMinimum 3-5 years high volume collection and deductions experience preferably trade spend); food industry highly desirableExceptional Microsoft Office skills are required, including pivot tables.
