In this role, the successful candidate Under the direction of a Radiologist, operates Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images and performs procedures according to established standards and practices, including patient identification, safety standards and completion of required forms before allowing a patient to leave zone area.Job Responsibilities:Accurately utilizes the PACS (Picture Archival System) to make images available to the radiologist for interpretation with minimum number of exceptions.Enters proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System and arrives and completes exams in a timely fashion.Assists in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment and supplies. Reports any equipment problems or malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely fashion.Instructs and supervises radiography students in clinical practicum. Ensures MRI safety protocols are practiced.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Technical Diploma Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services. New York State Radiologic Technologist License or New York State Radiologic Technologist Temp Permit. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of Hire or transfer. Strong communication (both written and oral), problem solving, and customer service skills.
