RESPONSIBILITIES: Post-Anesthesia Care UnitRN’s (PACU RNs) assesses patients’ health in pre-op state. PACU RNs are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications. PACU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: PACU RNs educate families and patients about homecare instructionsManage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activitiesAssess patient’s condition after surgery is performed, ensuring that all vital signs are within rangeMonitor patient’s condition changes and reports changes to healthcare teamPerform intervention duties in the case of post-operative emergenciesHours Worked per Week: 36
