Verifies correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks . Recognizes and reacts to indicators of malfunction; locates and implements corrections. Identifies the cause of common problems and makes simple repairs; conducts quality control procedures on equipment, reagents, and products, and maintains proper records for quality control reports. Documents all corrective actions when indicated.Directs and supervises the work of assigned students, phlebotomists, lab assistants and technicians.
