This unit cares for general medical patients with varying conditions and any patient who requires peritoneal dialysis(PD) during their hospital admission. All RN & LPNs are required to become PD competent through our hospital training course. RRH reimburses or pays for this competency for our nurses. Nursing staff are responsible for assessing patients, passing medications, and following provider orders for patient specific tasks. 4300 is a wonderful unit to start or continue your nursing career as you will see a variety of medical conditions, treatment plans, and nursing skills. Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; performing various treatment procedures; providing physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervising assigned team membersPlanning & Communication. Develop and document individualized care plans customized for each patient’s unique needs, with support from the interdisciplinary health team as needed; maintain effective communication to convey patient health status, treatment plans and progressElectronic Health Record (EHR) Management. Demonstrate proficient use of an EHR – including accurate patient and provider documentation and communicationCompliance.
