The detailed definitions of new functions and instructions enable complete and correct implementations, thereby minimizing opportunities for miscommunication and inconsistent designs across subsystems. Members of the IBM Z System Architecture team are considered Subject Matter Experts in their respective areas of expertise. They work with hardware, firmware, and software technical leads to define new instructions and functions, document the detailed operation of these functions, and lead the design reviews to ensure complete implementation descriptions with no ambiguity. As the IBM Z Systems Hardware Architect, you will be working with a team of 4-5 innovative and exceptional professionals who are passionate about developing the architecture of the current and future IBM Z systems based on competitive industry landscape, emerging industry trends and directions, challenges and issues seen in prior generations and client needs. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws.
