Job Description SummaryThe Engineering Assembler performs a variety of assembly and disassembly tasks in the building of full scale engineering developments, which are assembled in accordance with military specifications; ability and proficient to work various jobs within engineering, customer service and production floor.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities: Perform disassembly and assembly of complex electronic products, i.e. printed circuit boards, chassis, harnesses to sub-assemblies and component levelUtilize extensive amount of interpretation of drawings, specifications, schematics, sketches and instructionsExercise care to ensure that each step in the process is completed correctly and that each assembly or finished product meets the quality specificationsNotify the appropriate personnel of any problems associated with the disassembly or re-assembly processAssist engineering in the methods of assembly of products, operation sheets and drawing developmentsRecommend changes to facilitate the ease manufacturing productsMaintain records as required to charge direct labor time to specific product amountsPerform duties using a variety of hand tools and related production equipmentProvide training and mentoring for other employees as requiredPerform other routine operations within fairly similar situations as requiredProvide written and/or oral communications concerning a variety of situationsKeep workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly mannerUnderstand and comply with all Company, safety rules and regulationsEngage and participate in a self – directed teaming environmentQualifications/ Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDIPC-A-610 CertificationJ-STD-001 Certification3-5 years of manufacturing experienceDesired Characteristics: Basic computer skillsGood level of knowledge of manufacturing processesShould possess dexterity skills, good hand & eye coordination Past experience in a self-directed teaming environmentLean manufacturing knowledgeIPC-7721 CertificationThe hourly pay range for this position is $25 to $30/hr., depending on related work experience. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, their education, and the work location.
