The projects are aimed at improving the safety and environment, quality, and profitability of the Machine Division.JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):Work as part of a team in a hands-on environment to implement new processes, equipment and improvements to the production facilities for the Cleveland OperationsImplement, improve and support EHS efforts to improve the working environmentAssure safe, high quality, cost effective and environmentally responsible manufacturing of Lincoln’s welding equipmentHandle small to medium sized capital projects and production support projects with some supervision Typical assignments may include, but are not limited to:Assist with the implementation and creation of documentation for safe work practicesProvide assistance troubleshooting mechanical issues with production equipmentAssist in the management of project resources during construction projects Investigation, installation, testing, and documentation of new components and technologies Fabrication and installation guards, prototypes, enclosures, and pneumatic systemsAssist with the startup of shop floor equipmentUpdate documentation for mechanical systemsAdditional assignments as assigned by the supervisorBASIC REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five or more years of experience in related field ORVocational training and a minimum of three or more years of experience in related field ORTwo year technical degree/Associates Degree in related fieldKnowledge of mechanical systemsAbility to read and troubleshoot pneumatic diagramsCapable of fabricating and installing components using power toolsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamDemonstrate good judgment, be self-motivated and be safety consciousGood organizational skillsAbility to handle a variety of assignments and changing prioritiesGood computer skills (3D CAD experience a plus)Good decision-making abilityGood written and oral communications skillsAble to perform hands-on work as requiredAbility to occasionally work off shiftsAbility to be effective working extensively on the shop floor with employees, contractors and processesLincoln Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
