JOB SUMMARY
Lead the effective execution of all preventative maintenance processes and assigned work/projects within the plant, with a focus on optimizing all maintenance functions, including predictive preventive maintenance (PPM), spare parts, scheduling, and performance. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) RCM Strategy. Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the maintenance department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance.Oversees maintenance department to ensure equipment and facilities are running smoothly to aid in production goals.Engages with peers to align facility and department priorities.Coach, train, or coordinate training in facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures, and techniques.Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.Manages department utilization of CMMS to generate, assign and document preventative, planned and emergency maintenance orders. Develops KPI to assess adherence to and effectiveness of PM programs. Participate in the development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.Participate in the preparation and administration of the facility maintenance budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures; prepare cost estimates; submit justifications for equipment; monitor budget expenditures.Coordinates contractor and vendor contracts relating to the facilities.Oversees evaluation and coordination of capital spending relating to the building and equipment.Coordinates the quoting, purchase, and installation of CapEx equipment.Monitor and control supplies and equipment; availability of necessary parts, elimination of obsolete materials and adjustment/optimization of stocking levels. Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment.Perform analyses to determine the root cause of critical and repetitive equipment failures.Analyze equipment history and the line event data system to identify specific failures.Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of ongoing continuous improvement efforts.Provide support for assigned projects, troubleshooting, and day-to-day activities.Coordinate remodels, construction, and other special projects.Assist in the preparation of various contracts, requests for proposals, and reports.Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development.Maintain a clean, organized work area.Comply with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required & Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required.Experience: 7+ years of previous experience in a Facilities leadership role required for this position.Certifications/Licenses: N/AOther Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), previous experience using Auto CAD software, ability to work with others through complex situations, working knowledge of OSHA & EPA requirements.
