Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on all trailers, converter dollies, light duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state, and local legal and regulatory agencies (includes all state required inspections and frequencies)Conduct all levels of preventive maintenance functions, such as regular servicing of trailers. Including trailer repairs and equipment inspections.Electrical diagnostics, repair, and replacement.Utilize the company’s maintenance system to create/maintain/complete work orders and vehicle maintenance records.Lead and/or assist with the physical parts purchasing,inventory, receiving, and proper charge out of parts to work ordersPerforms general cleaning and repair duties Requirements: 4 years of experience in fleet trailer maintenance and repair (up to 2 years can be credited for technical training/schooling)Knowledge and understanding of FMCSRs and DOT ComplianceAir brake certificationWorking knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM's and component manufacturersTechnician must provide all hand tools (1/2” drive or under) necessary to perform maintenance.
