We also care for post-op patients following craniotomies for tumor, vascular malformation, and decompression. It is an exciting environment where learning never stops! Working night shift, you will make an additional $2 per hour on top of the $1.60/hour shift differential ($3.60/hour additional).Responsibilities:Before an operation, help to prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions. Assemble both sterile and non-sterile equipment. Adjust and check equipment to ensure it is working properly.Prepare patients for surgery by wash, shave, and ensure aseptic incision sites. May transport patients to the operating room, help position them on the operating table, and cover them with sterile surgical drapes.Assist the surgical team with putting on sterile gowns and gloves.During surgery, efficiently pass instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants. The Graduate Nurse Rotational Program is a rebranded initiative specific to St. Margaret and will begin in February and July 2025. Selected participants will rotate through six various units (progressive care, rehab, ortho, neuro/oncology, renal/resp., and surgical floor ) for six months.Each new graduate will havean experienced registered nurseasamentor, and have preceptors for each “rotation”.
