Colon resections, hip replacements, urological procedures, and appendectomies are just a few that you will see. We also have Med/Surg overflow so you will likely see pneumonia, COPD, and chest pain.We have lots of skills that you will be able to develop while working on our unit. JP drains, wound vacs, NGT’s, chest tubes are some of the things that you will encounter!Typically, these patients are here for a short stay and then sent home. Nurses on the unit work 12-hour shifts.
