Our work depends on Systems Administrator Senior joining our team to continue to provide unified communications services to our Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) customer.HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTResponsible for the administration, maintenance and support of the FAVES unified communications IT systems and infrastructure including managing servers, ensuring system availability and implementing solutions to improve system performance and security.Oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers including physical and virtual environments.Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions.Manages the Active Directory, and other core IT services.Monitors systems performance and troubleshoots moderate to complex issues to ensure high availability and reliability.Performs maintenance such as patch management, updates and backups.Plans and executes systems upgrades and hardware/software installations.Ensures systems are updated with latest security patches and software updates.Implements and maintains security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.Manages and tests backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.Participates in disaster recovery drills and business continuity planning.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience Required Technical Skills: Must have a working knowledge on the following:Avaya platforms at the administrator levelWindows OS, VMware, AD, Collaborations Suites, ITSM platforms, REMEDY, VoIP administration, Security Patching, Operations and Trend analysis skills.
