Compounds prescription medications when necessary and assures appropriate documentation is completed. Ensures Medication Guides, CMS notices and other documents required by law are distributed with prescriptions. Monitors medication therapy and makes recommendations to therapy when appropriate.Counsels as required by all state and federal laws and provides information on drugs, their pharmacological action, dosage, contraindications, reactions, etc. to physicians, nurses, patients, and other interested parties.
