Overview: The Oklahoma Wound Care Center is the largest outpatient wound center in the Oklahoma City area. Wesee a wide variety of patients and their wounds. Most commonly seen is the diabetic foot ulcer, but we also treat surgical, traumatic and burn wounds. The staff play a vital role in assessing and treating simple to complex wounds. Nursing staff collaborate closely with physicians to achieve healing.The Oklahoma Wound Care Centeris a busy and very fast paced clinic with3 wound care specializedphysicians, 10 exam rooms and 4 hyperbaric oxygen chambers. Responsibilities: Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.Documents nursing care and activities.Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.Assists the departmental assistant with clinical mattersMaintains the exam/treatment rooms and work environment.Assists with the training of other staff. Qualifications: EducationCompletion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.ExperiencePrefer previous hospital experience. Previous work history reflecting stable employment is necessary.
