Function: Finance & Accounting Job Summary: As the Senior Accountant you will handle several accounting tasks, such as preparing accounting entries, assisting with month-end close, producing reports, supporting accounts payable processing, and issuing management and financial reports. Timing and accuracy are important in the processing of journal entries and reports prepared and issued to management. These responsibilities may be for plant accounting, corporate accounting, or local plant management. You will report to the Accounting Supervisor and work onsite. This is a safety sensitive position. Job Description: You WillComplete daily and monthly plant statistical production, inventory reports, and cost accounting. Monitor daily production, shipments, and inventory, ensuring accuracy and reconciling monthly balances in SAP.Assist with capital project tracking, fixed asset ledger maintenance, and capital expenditure analysis. Ensure closure of capital projects and retirement of expired assets.Reconcile balance sheet accounts to sub-systems to minimize errors and losses. Perform reconciliations and analysis of general ledger account balances.Prepare and post monthly journal entries in SAP for accurate month-end and year-end transactions. Help prepare the annual operating budget.Provide support to the accounts payable process, investigate issues, and participate in audits.Assist with special projects, report development, quarter-end and year-end activities.
