And, we need your help to do it!The Customer Data team is at the heart of Zillow’s next generation product development and responsible for assimilating customer information, certifying it and making it accessible in batch, streaming and online fashion. We leverage open source products (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, Terraform), Databricks, AWS cloud services (e.g., S3) and Microservices (e.g., Dynamo,Spring boot, GraphQL, Kong) to collect and provision customer information for internal and external customers.About the roleIn this role you will provide the technical leadership to oversee the development, rollout and adoption of Customer North Star architecture.YOU WILL GET TO:Design and development of Customer North Star architecture and platform components.Collaborate across ZG stakeholders e.g. with product domains, marketing, AI teams to drive the development and adoption of Customer Data.Lead the Customer Data Steering Committee overseeing the governance of Customer Data across ZG.Responsible for driving the data governance and quality efforts.Develop frameworks, ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and syndication.Collaborate with the Data Platform team to drive solutions around data governance, ETL development, etc.Leading the initiatives to do build vs. buy decisions.Driving Self-Service initiative around usage of customer data.Evangelise, speaking publicly at conferences, meetups etc.Working on outlining the Customer Data strategy for 3-5 years.Working with multiple stakeholders on outlining requirements and developing DB designs.Leading the cost optimization effort.Leading the code reviews and outline engineering excellence standards across the team.Mentor the next generation of tech leaders.This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company.
