Job Summary:
As Construction Safety Professionals at CMI, we prioritize the implementation of best practices, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and cultivating a culture of safety enhancement on targeted construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Mentor, educate, and train staff on safety protocolsFoster a positive safety culture within the teamAttend safety meetings as required, at varying frequenciesConduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practicesFacilitate pre-task planning, audits, job safety analyses (JSAs), and permit processesConduct site-specific orientations, training classes, and toolbox talksGenerate reports as needed by the job site
Requirements and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of direct construction safety oversight experience requiredComprehensive understanding of Construction Safety Standards (1926)Experience working in a Pharma setting preferredDemonstrated expertise in diverse construction and safety practicesPreferably experienced in ground-up construction safety oversightStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesEffective leadership and mentorship abilitiesProven ability to collaborate with teams across all organizational levelsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications
Education and Education and Credentials:
OSHA 30 Construction certification obtained within the last 5 yearsOSHA 510 and/or 500 certificationsCredentialing from BCSP, STSC, CHST, or CSP strongly preferredDegree in a safety-related field preferredFirst Aid CPR AED certification required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking often on rough terrain.Ability to climb a ladder.Ability to stoop, crawl and bend Ability to lift up to 30lbs

Background check and potential drug screening required for the positionOvertime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demandsResidence within a reasonable commuting distance
