The unit provides comprehensive mental health care to individuals between the ages of 18-59. Individuals over the age of 59 are evaluated for admission on an individual basis. Patients admitted to the unit have a primary DSM 5 diagnosis/es. However, patients may also have additional diagnoses, including, but not limited to Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, medical comorbidities, etc. Patients must be medically stable as a criteria for admission. It includes trauma surgeries, vascular surgeries, bariatric surgeries, and providing critical care for acute injuries. Additionally, the department maintains a general medicine practice, catering to a broad range of medical needs. The unit is equipped with 20 beds, allowing for attentive patient care. The medical staff is highly qualified, practicing to the full extent of their license, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of medical treatment available.
