The unit provides comprehensive mental health care to individuals between the ages of 18-59. Individuals over the age of 59 are evaluated for admission on an individual basis. Patients admitted to the unit have a primary DSM 5 diagnosis/es. However, patients may also have additional diagnoses, including, but not limited to Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, medical comorbidities, etc. Patients must be medically stable as a criteria for admission. Safety practices include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring of all community areas and staff presence during meals and visiting hours. Nursing care, daily psychiatric assessments, therapy and medication management are provided to meet the emotional, behavioral, physical, cultural, educational and spiritual needs of the adult patient population. Our most common patient diagnosis is stroke, however we see a range of diagnoses. With the extensive services provided, our patients’ average length of stay is 14 days. The unit provides comprehensive mental health care to individuals between the ages of 18-59. Individuals over the age of 59 are evaluated for admission on an individual basis. Patients admitted to the unit have a primary DSM 5 diagnosis/es. However, patients may also have additional diagnoses, including, but not limited to Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, medical comorbidities, etc. Patients must be medically stable as a criteria for admission. Safety practices include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring of all community areas and staff presence during meals and visiting hours. Nursing care, daily psychiatric assessments, therapy and medication management are provided to meet the emotional, behavioral, physical, cultural, educational and spiritual needs of the adult patient population. The unit provides comprehensive mental health care to individuals between the ages of 18-59. Individuals over the age of 59 are evaluated for admission on an individual basis. Patients admitted to the unit have a primary DSM 5 diagnosis/es. However, patients may also have additional diagnoses, including, but not limited to Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, medical comorbidities, etc. Patients must be medically stable as a criteria for admission. Safety practices include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring of all community areas and staff presence during meals and visiting hours. Nursing care, daily psychiatric assessments, therapy and medication management are provided to meet the emotional, behavioral, physical, cultural, educational and spiritual needs of the adult patient population. The nurses work 12-hour shifts (7A & 7P). There is great teamwork among the staff. Description: Registered Nurse (RN), Crichton Inpatient Rehab Job Type: Full-time | Variable 12 hour shifts and 2 Weekends per month Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Department/Unit Summary Crichton Center is a 27 bed physical rehabilitation unit providing acute care services; managing the patients' medical conditions along with providing them with the therapy/education needed in order to return to their prior level of function and to get home. Our most common patient diagnosis is stroke, however we see a range of diagnoses. With the extensive services provided, our patients’ average length of stay is 14 days. Although we are a 27 bed occupancy unit, we are actively working toward expanding to 37 beds as our unit is growing. We offer 12 hour shifts with flexible self-scheduling for our nurses.
