Develop, analyze, and interpret structural models using RISA-3D and AutoCAD 3D, integrating seamlessly with other project components. Prepare and oversee steel shop drawings and layout approval drawings, ensuring adherence to company and industry standards. Utilize MS Excel to create and manage complex design spreadsheets. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and designers to ensure proper interfaces between structures and equipment. Support Estimating and Sales teams by providing structural insights during project proposals. Coordinate with geotechnical, process, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams and consultants to ensure project success. Conduct site visits to evaluate existing structures and gather measurements for the integration of new equipment. Work with fabrication teams to address and resolve structural challenges during manufacturing. Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard details, models, and specifications.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (required). Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Structural and/or Civil Engineering field. Advanced knowledge of AISC, AWS, OSHA, and MSHA standards. Proficiency with structural design software, including RISA-3D (or similar), and AutoCAD (3D modeling, design, and 2D drawing creation). Expertise in structural design involving steel and concrete materials. Strong understanding of structural steel detailing and concrete foundation principles. Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred). Solid skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the full MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Clear and effective communication skills with a results-oriented mindset. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing tasks independently.
