The nurse is usually assigned to a specific OR at the start of their shift and complete the cases scheduled in that OR. The operating room performs elective & scheduled surgeries, along with urgent and emergent surgeries. We have ten specialized surgery teams: including orthopedic inpatient; orthopedic outpatient; cardiovascular; urology; OB/GYN; ear, nose and throat; ophthalmology; general and robotic; pediatrics; and neurosurgery and plastic surgery. The skills of these ten specialized surgery teams provide quality care to patients, while giving team members the opportunity to develop and utilize their abilities.
