Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewAccountable for working with clients to coordinate appropriate placement of education/consulting staff. Working closely with leadership, other Nurse Educators, and agency support staff. Develops, manages, updates, and teaches Certified Nurse Aide training/testing, Medication Aide training, and other health-related training programs as current industry necessitates. Programs are to be managed in a fiscally responsible manner. Schedules and completes off-site visits with existing and prospective clients, promoting and amplifying services. Areas of focus include acute care hospital settings, critical access hospital settings, long-term care and assisted living settings, and other areas of potential development. Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients and agency staff to facilitate and promote regulatory compliance and growth of the agency.What you will doMaintain and build positive relationships and business opportunities with current clients, and work to develop new clients, allied organizations such as SDHCA, SDAHO, and the State of SD, DOH, co- workers temporary staff, and Avera colleagues.Coordinate with support staff all aspects of appropriate placement of education/consulting staff utilizing a timely, efficient, and cost-effective approach.Identify need for additional education/consulting programs, including staff, to meet client or current health-care trends/demands.Develop and maintain education materials for use in a healthcare setting for use in hospitals with Joint Commission accreditation, acute care community hospitals, critical access hospitals, long-term care and assisted living facilities to be comprehended by a variety of audiences; licensed and unlicensed nursing personnel, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.Manage, direct, and teach Certified Nursing Aide Training Program, CNA Testing and Medication Aide Training.Teach In-Service Programs: On-site or off-site per client request and tailor program to specific needs of facility.Schedule and conduct CNA testing.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified. Upon Hire 1-3 years Registered Nurse in long-term care. Public relations and public speaking skills. Management experience with staff supervision. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:Master's A variety of clinical experiences in acute care, long-term care, and/or outpatient/clinic setting with education emphasis.
