Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and completion of NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program, or a Bachelor’s degree and one to two years of experience/training acceptable to the ASCP or AMT for the Medical Laboratory Scientist required.Six months Blood Banking experience preferred.Cell therapy handling/processing experience preferred.Certification, Licensure, RegistrationCertification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP or AMT within 12 months of hire date.Work ScheduleMonday - Friday Day Shift: 5:00 am-3:30 pmRotate every 3rd weekend and holidayOn Call every 4th weekendFull Time - 80 hours every 2 weeksPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
