Req ID:24896Position Summary:Provides technical support, creates new programs, and researches new avenues of technological improvement and advancement for all automated systems. The PLC programmer will also test and debug source code, provide onsite technical support and field service for customers.Role qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with experience will be considered2+ years’ experiencein PLC Programming or as an associate PLC programmerPosition responsibilities:Program PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices to ensure optimal performanceTroubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems in a timely mannerCollaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure seamless integration of control systemsProvide technical support and training to plant personnel on control systemsStay current on industry trends and advancements in control system technologyWrite and debug effective and safe control programs that meet the requirements of the end user and the expectations of Tennessee Rand.Maintain the quality of equipment shipped.Follow LEA Build Standards and guidelines, including deviation lists that may be provided to allow for customer specifications or requirements.Ensure control programming of equipment and tooling is complete, safe, and functional.Provide training and guidance to less experienced PLC technicians and programmers.Meet requirements for internal runoffs, safety inspections, and other quality control procedures.Clear communications with Project Management staff and supervisors on issues that may come up.Design effective and detailed HMI screens that are neatly arranged for ease in understanding by end user operators and technical staff.Debugging of low voltage electrical systems as needed for operation of all machines.Communicating with robot programmers on what is needed from them to make a project run smoothly.Travel 40%+ including overnight.Essential skills and experience:Superior communications skillsHighly proficient in all Allen Bradley softwareAble to adapt to other PLC and HMI programs (ie.
