Works closely with the supervising RN, collaborating their efforts to deliver the nursing process effectively. Observes, records, reports, and assists in the nursing plan of care, the implementation of care, and the evaluation of the patient status and progress.What you will do in this role:Assures suicide, elopement, and other precautions are conducted according to need/order identifiedMaintains therapeutic milieu, locked unit, locked sharps and assesses safety of the unit each shiftConducts or delegates through search of patient for contraband upon admission and when need is indicated.Gives direct care in accordance with nursing care plans as developed by RNDemonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patient appropriate to the ages of patients servedDocuments patient data, nursing interventions, patient response, effectiveness and complicationsIdentifies potential nursing problems/changes in patient status, informing appropriate team membersInteracts with patient and family to assist RN in developing and implementing an individualized plan of care for the patientAssists in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient discharge planAdequately assesses and reassesses pain.
