Based in Houston, Texas, this position offers an opportunity to apply structural engineering expertise to develop innovative, safe, and efficient solutions tailored to client needs and industry standards.
Structural Engineering Design: Develop detailed structural engineering designs and calculations for ladders, platforms, and supporting structures for oil and gas equipment. Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
Project Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with CAD designers, project managers, fabricators, and clients to ensure engineering designs align with practical fabrication methods and client specifications. Participate in project reviews, offering structural expertise and optimizing designs for safety, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency.
Code Compliance and Standards: Ensure all structural designs meet applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations (ASME, OSHA, API, etc.). Remain current with advancements in structural engineering, design methodologies, and applicable industry codes.
Project Management: Manage and oversee multiple structural engineering projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables. Maintain organized and detailed records of all structural engineering calculations, designs, and project communications.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional structural engineering experience, specifically with oil and gas equipment. Proven track record in structural design of ladders, platforms, and industrial support structures.
Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software and familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Deep knowledge of structural engineering standards and applicable industry codes (ASME, OSHA, ANSI). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
