They play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby throughout the labor and delivery process.Their responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assessing fetal heart rates, administering medications, providing pain management (including epidurals), assisting with inductions and emergency interventions, and offering emotional and physical support to patients and their families.
