About the Role: The Equipment Manager is responsible for supporting our multiple subsidiaries, including Great Southwestern Construction. Our culture is built on shared values and mutual respect, where teamwork and collaboration occur naturally.Throughout our history, we have partnered with utilities, municipalities, commercial clients, and developers to deliver some of the largest and most notable projects including transmission/distribution/substation, commercial and industrial, storm restoration, and renewable (solar and wind farms) energy.Essential FunctionsDevelop and implement (in conjunction with team) systems for scheduling resources, providing preventative maintenance, inventory control and vendor evaluations, as well as operational proceduresKeep current on new technologies as they relate to management of equipment and apply accordinglyAssist with buy/sell/lease options and alternativesProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment as neededManage the inspection and repairs of designated equipment and provide recommendations on course of action accordinglyUnderstand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy proceduresRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDocument work performed by utilizing system software programsEnsure OSHA standards and company safety policies are complied with at all timesUnderstand and follow federal, state, and local regulationsCoordinate with safety department to ensure a safe work environment is maintainedSecure and analyze vendor quotes and estimates for services, tools, parts, and suppliesMonitor and control inventory levels of parts, tools, and suppliesDevelop and maintain vendor list and continuously monitor overall quality of service providedRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of the position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards About You: QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in fleet equipment managementMinumum 3 years in electrical construction (transmission & distribution)Bachelor's degree in Equipment Service Management or Automotive Management; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProficient with computer systems as they relate to utilization of scheduling of manpower/resources, implementation of preventative maintenance programs, inventory management systemsProficient with MS Office Suite applicationsThorough knowledge of cost trackingStrong commitment to safetyExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsLeadership and team building skills What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsSalary $85,000-$95,000 / year, Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
