Responsible for all personnel and general administrative matters i.e., first step grievances, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, payroll issues, etc. Maintains records of work performed and daily overtime, and absenteeism. Supervises maintenance and repair equipment, inspects tools and equipment for condition and proper use. Responsible for meeting equipment service demands in a timely manner. Ensures and maintains quality and safety standards. Research pertinent bus performance information and analyze data to determine bus down issues. Coordinates activities with Storeroom. Maintains yard control. Dispatches wreckers/T-Trucks/tire trucks for breakdown recovery and on street repairs. Keeps Superintendent and General Foreman informed on all matters of importance. Provides excellent customer service to METRO internal and external customers. Applies SMS (Safety Management System) methods and principles in daily routine and supports all aspects of the agency’s Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP). Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
