Hotel AccountantWe, Absolute Hospitality, are looking for a skilled and experienced professionalto join our team as a Hotel Accountant. What will you do Financial Strategy & Oversight: Develop and implement financial processes to achieve organizational goals. Oversee financial operations across multiple properties, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.Policy & Compliance: Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and industry regulations.Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing, including managing the timeclock, approving associate hours, exporting files to payroll software, and updating payroll records for associate changes.Financial Guidance: Provide strategic financial advice to property management teams, helping to maximize revenue and profitability.Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data and prepare reports that provide insights into business performance and emerging trends.Budget & Strategy Development: Collaborate with the CFO and CEO to develop and implement financial budgets and strategies that support company growth and profitability.External Relationships: Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.Tax & Reporting Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of financial records and oversee the preparation of tax returns and other required financial filings.Property Financial Management: Oversee on-site accounting functions to ensure timely, accurate reporting and analysis at the hotel level.Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, general managers, revenue managers, lenders, and investors.Closing Procedures: Manage monthly closing procedures, including reconciling balance sheet accounts, generating financial reports, and reviewing reports for accuracy.About youExperience -As an ideal candidate, you willpossess:Marriott FOSSE subject matter expert (required)Local to San Antonio preferred but not required. Ability to travel 25% of the timeMinimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or business operations, with at least 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
