Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other services to ensure the continuity of the patient’s total regimen of care. Promote and enhance the level of clinical expertise of staff to provide safe and quality nursing care for our patients. Assist with Interviewing, selecting, training and validation of new clinical staff. Internal case management, evaluation and development of nursing talent Review physicians’ orders and update the plans of care and documentation, as necessary Participating in the release of our patients from the facility to their home through “Start of Care Assessments” and “Re-evaluations” Collaborating with the operations and business development team Ensure adherence to State, Federal, Local and Aveanna policies and procedures Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing service department. Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies. Assist the Discharge Planning Coordinator in developing, implementing and periodically updating the written procedures for the Discharge Planning Program. Assist the resident and Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan. The Clinical Director (CD) is responsible for the management of all operational services for their location of responsibility.
