Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring a Software Asset Manager to track infrastructure software in support of the Air Force BlueSCI network. This position will be located in San Antonio TX and will be an on-site position. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage Enterprise Software License program. Contribute to and implement policy and processes, monitor execution, and reports. Provide updates to and sustain the Enterprise Software License Standard Operating Procedure. Maintain an automated Enterprise Software Licenses database to track product keys, versions, site, expiration dates, and any pertinent information. Will inventory all licensed software annually or as directed. Track service contract expiration, warranty action, and licensing processes for all Enterprise network and system hardware. Audit systems to ensure no illegal or unauthorized copies of software are installed. Plan, monitor, and record software licenses to make sure they comply with vendor contracts in different software tools as well as they meet government requirements & regulations. Review, enhance documentation, develop governance, and provide input/guidance to realizing efficiencies in the management and lifecycle of software assets. Perform verification and audits of software assets against the database, inventories, CMDB content, and license contracts. Manage activities concerning license compliance audits. Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning software and configuration management.
