(defined by theDepartment Manager or designee). ·During the seasonal program period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by theDepartment Manager or designee). ·This position is eligible for thesame shift diffs as Full-Time RNs. (ie. Night, even, Weekend, Holiday) ·Seasonal Program isnot eligiblefor Critical staffing diffs/bonuses · Procedural Depts will be required to take call.·Current employees of HWS arenoteligible for the seasonal program. ·Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes. What you will do in this role: * You will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care of assigned patients in the Unit in order to provide quality patient care. * You will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the appropriate age populations. * You will provide professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. * You will provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. What qualifications you will need: * Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. * Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse is required in a hospital setting. * Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date). * American Heart Association BLS Certification is required Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas has been serving the Rio Grande Valley for more than 30 years.
