Pay starts at $18.00 an hour and goes up depending on experience.
Our ideal candidate should have previous experience as a mechanic/technician in the trailer industry. Carpentry, welding and mechanic skills are a plus. We are looking for a self-motivated person with strong work ethics. We are willing to train the right applicant.
Duties will include: Read and understand the jobs and work order per company standards Preventative maintenance and repair all systems on Semi-Trailers to meet the standards set forth by DOT Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, races and associated parts Repair electrical and lighting systems Repair or replace chassis components such as springs, spring hangers, equalizers, complete slider assemblies, axles, and sub frames Repair mud flap brackets and dolly leg assembles Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim Repair roofs, panels, nose panels, lower and upper rails Conform to all safety and health standards Assist fellow mechanic technicians

Requirements: 1 - 3 years of experience in trailer repair or equivalent experience with welding, carpentry, and mechanic skills Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. Primary job function is working on various types of railcars, barges and above ground storage tanks. Tasks include cleaning and washing railcars using high pressure equipment, product removal, performing minor maintenance repairs and/or parts replacement. Must be willing to follow customer, company, FRA, and AAR guidelines. We are a national mobile service company. Traveling locally and nationally will be required at times, and may spend nights in a hotel.
Experience not required; However, the ideal candidate will have experience in the industrial cleaning industry or experience in the Rail/ Barge and above ground storage tanks. Minimum 5-day work week subject to required overtime, on-call, and alternate shifts that may include weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Operate transit vehicles safely and smoothly to transport passengers. Following prescribed route and time schedule. Assure compliance to all applicable (CDL) and DOT laws and regulations. Assure cleanliness of vehicles. Follow instructions from Dispatch and supervisory personnel and communicate any problems to dispatch. Complete daily vehicle pre/post trip inspections. Maintain good customer/employee/supervisor relations. Report for duty promptly in proper uniform and physical condition and be ready to work any route assigned. Provide information to passengers in a helpful, courteous, efficient manner; use proper etiquette to assist passengers with disabilities. Ensure customers pay proper fares when boarding the bus. Prepare and complete all required logs and reports including reports on traffic accidents and customer incidents. Utilize the communication systems (cell phones, radios and MDT’s) in accordance with BTD policies. Operate a two-way radio system in accordance with the regulations of the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). On fixed routes make stop announcements to passengers upon approaching prescribed destinations. Use correct safety procedures to operate lift, secure wheelchairs, scooters and other assistive devices Maintain the standards of BTD, including but not limited to the Drug & Alcohol, ADA, EEO, Title VI, Code of Conduct and safety policies and procedures.
