Nurse Informatics Specialist Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Under the supervision of the IT Director, the Nurse Informatics Specialist (NIS) is responsible for the implementation, training and maintenance of all Meditech clinical modules as well as coordination with non-clinical modules. Maintains and updates all user access for Meditech. The NIS is responsible for implementation of projects and processes to successfully meet Meaningful Use including ePrescribe and Patient Portal. Responsibilities may also include pulling reports, collecting data and analyzing information as directed by the IT Director. The NIS projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers, and facility information and adhering to the HIPAA policy.
