Job Duties include but are not limited to: Provides network support including hardware and software tools as well as installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of LAN and WAN switches, wireless access points and controllers, Core Switches, Firewalls, and VPNs. Ensures network connectivity for all devices. Assists with Network Design and capacity planning. Supports the monitoring and maintenance of telephony systems. Develops and documents standards for network devices. Recommends, schedules, and implements repairs to the LAN/WAN. Monitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports. Ensures quality assurance processes are being followed, including service levels as outlined in the ITS Service Level Agreement and change control procedures. Monitors security on enterprise systems using best practice standards. Provides after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance. Server management of data monitoring systems. Fiber and cabling diagnostics.
