We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Radiology Technician performs radiographic procedures using fixed and portable units in the imaging department, nursing units, and operating suites. Assists physicians in fluoroscopy using fixed and portable units. Practices radiation safety and observes universal precautions at all times. Pursues professional development for the continual improvement of patient care. Performs related work as required.Utilizes appropriate resources to complete assignment within allocated time period.Adapts to changes in volume/acuity demands. Remains calm in crisis situations.Adheres to Attendance and Tardiness Policy.Supports responsible staffing decisions (cancels, places staff on hold/on call, calls in on hold/on call staff appropriately).Demonstrates efforts to eliminate waste.Reports to work on time and is ready to start work.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or documented equivalent education.Licensure: Current certification by the American Registry of Radiology: Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as an RT(R) or eligible for registry. Note: Registry eligible applicants must obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
