We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsSPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDemonstrates ability to obtain quality CT images of patients. Demonstrates competence in following established scanning protocols and exercises ability to adjust protocols as required.Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self. Appropriately utilizes Personal Protective Equipment. Always operates CT scanner safely and competently.Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations. (i.e. Meditech) Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians orders are verified.Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.Prepares examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures. Monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance.Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.Reviews each exam for technical accuracy (i.e. technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.) and completes verification process in PACS.Assists Facility System Administrator and CT Supervisor with PACS clean up. (i.e.: unarchived images, verifications and reporting unspecified images).Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to HIPAA Policy and Procedure.Completes and maintains personal educational requirementsQUALIFICATIONSGraduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsOur Medical Technologists (MT) perform assigned laboratory tests in specialty departments to include Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.By conducting laboratory tests and procedures, you will help to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.Day-to-day duties include complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and their results.You will also be responsible for specimen receiving and putting away supplies when received in the department.You will troubleshoot/resolve instrument problems and document corrective action in appropriate log and when necessary, perform instrumentation repairs.Assure that quality control is properly performed and logged and follow proper department procedure for corrective action.Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to train new employees and/or students.You will actively participate in phlebotomy and the accession responsibilities.EXPERIENCE:Previous Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Scientist experience is preferred.EDUCATION:A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological, Chemical, and/or Physical Science is required. A Nursing Degree will be considered with the required CLIA acceptable courses.
