Control-M Administrator We are looking for a Control-M Administration resource who is good at providing analysis, documenting, and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn’t specific to any one platform, so you’ll need a good feel for all of them. This is a project-based role where you’ll enjoy deep involvement throughout the lifespan of a project, as well as the chance to work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs. Required Technical and Professional Experience o 10+ years of experience in Control-M Administrationo Install, configure, and maintain Control-M software and related components.o Manage and optimize Control-M environments, including Control-M/Server, Control-M/Agent, and Control-M/EM.o Monitor system performance and perform regular health checks.o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Control-M and its integrations.o Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to ensure system security and stability.o Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for Control-M environments.o Scheduling and Workflow Management:o Design, create, and manage job workflows, schedules, and dependencies using Control-M.o Coordinate with application teams to define and implement job scheduling requirements.o Monitor job execution, identify and resolve job failures, and ensure timely completion of tasks.o Develop and implement job scheduling best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.o Create and maintain documentation for job schedules, workflows, and processes.o Collaboration and Support:o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Control-M with other systems and applications.o Provide support and guidance to users regarding Control-M functionalities and best practices.o Conduct training sessions and create training materials for end-users as needed. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.o Proven experience with Control-M administration and scheduling, including job creation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.o Knowledge of Control-M components (e.g., Control-M/Server, Control-M/Agent, Control-M/EM).o Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) for automation and job management.o Experience with job scheduling best practices and optimization techniques.o Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.o Certifications related to Control-M or workload automation.o Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $49,001 – 92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
