Department/Unit Summary5A is an acute care medical surgical unit. On a typical day, 6A has 24 patients with a 1:6 nurse/patient ratio and 1:10 CA/patient ratio. ¯ ¯We serve the general population of hospitalized patients with a variety of conditions. The conditions include illnesses, surgery, testing, and observation patients. Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
