Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) is an individual who is licensed to engage in the practice of applied behavior analysis under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst. The role of the (LABA) is to extend the abilities of the BCBA to provide supervision to others in implementation of components of treatment plans. LABA assist BCBAs by providing direct implementation of treatment plans, monitoring program progression, keeping BCBAs informed of challenges, and making needed program changes as directed by their supervising BCBA. Essential Functions: Implements and monitors client specific therapeutic treatment plans as developed by the BCBAIn conjunction with supervisory staff and caregivers, implements and monitors programs appropriate to the current and future needs of the clients. Monitors programs, moves targets forward, prepares program materials, and makes procedural changes as needed as directed by BCBARecommends and consults with BCBA to implement behavior observation systems, support plans, and behavior intervention guidelines.Coordinate the collection, summarization and analysis of data related to individual program goals and behavioral plans.Consults with Behavior Technicians, caregivers, and supervisory staff to ensure that programming is adequate to meet the needs of the client.Analyzes program data to ensure appropriate progress and effectiveness.Develops and maintains weekly and monthly progress notes, reviews clinical documentation of Behavior Technicians, and updates treatment plans.Completes appropriate assessments and probes new targets to determine future goals. Communicates with parents, guardians or other caregivers concerning behavioral and educational programming.Supervises, orients, and trains Behavior Technicians in the implementation of programs and behavioral intervention procedures, routinely providing ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance staff development and skill.
