The majority of our millwrights work a Monday through Friday 8-hour day work schedule. Occasionally there are opportunities to post for some rotating shift work 12 hour shifts (4 days on 4-days off).Pay and BenefitsThe hourly rate for the Journeyman Millwright position is $40.64.Employees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. Employees will receive all of the rights and benefits associated with union membership when they join our mill facility.Principle Accountabilities:Provides troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment in technical support of the PCA Wallula Pulp and Paper Mill operation.Basic Qualifications:Journeyman level experience.Candidates should have the following skills: read and interpret blueprints, tables, charts, formulas.Read equipment instruction manuals; align equipment to specified tolerances; good knowledge of metallurgy and other materials for fabrication processes;Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including centrifugal pumps, gearboxes, fans, and agitators;Be proficient in burning and welding techniques.Candidates must have their own complete set of tools.All candidates will be required to pass the company's standardized aptitude test for final consideration.This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.Minimum of three years of industrial maintenance-related experience.Must havegood interpersonal skills, good planning and organizing skills, and a high degree of self-motivation.Must be able to acquire and/or retain a multi-craft skill set.
