Responsibilities
Installation, maintenance and administration of Windows Server and Active DirectoryManagement of Microsoft server security configuration and patchingProvisioning and administration of user access credentials and folder permissionsMaintenance and administration of DHCP, DNS, FTP and other network servicesAdministration of server hardware and software inventories and documentationDesktop and Server support escalation Knowledge of and applied experience of handling performance monitoring and tuningAbility to participate in a rotational 24/7 on-call scheduleMonitor and work customer support tickets and requestsRespond to server resource monitoring alertsEnterprise backup system experienceTake charge troubleshooting complex problems that span multiple technology stacksWork with a sense of urgency in solving issues, removing roadblocks and improving user experienceCollaborate with IT and Business leaders to develop functional strategiesActively and effectively listen to business needs and discern patterns of capabilities that need to be deliveredPropose new and emerging technologies to support the company’s business goals and objectivesCommunicate and translate technical issues to non-technical business partnersDevelop and maintain policies and proceduresAct as the project coordinator for technology projects by detailing out project plans and communicating out regular status updatesManaging and calculating licensing contract costsDemonstrate strong, positive-oriented leadership skills
Qualifications
Expert level Windows engineering (Full on prem Microsoft stack)Expert level in Hyper-V (Including large scale highly available clustered environments)Experience with multiple physical server vendors (Racking, cabling, power, patching, imaging)Experience with multiple SAN storage vendors (Racking, cabling, power, patching, imaging)6+ years’ experience in server configuration management, administration and production support Microsoft Server systems certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP are valued Experience administrating multi-site enterprise environment consisting of thousands of endpoints, users, and servers
