ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssumes responsibilities for patient's care in the operating room or procedure room as assigned.Directs activities of operative procedure in room assigned.Maintains accurate documentation of perioperative care.Assists in maintenance of a clean and orderly environment.Communicates with charge nurses, physicians and other team members.Participates in continuing education.Accepts responsibilities as a charge nurse.Delivers direct patient care appropriate to age of patient served.Qualifications: JOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum EducationGraduate of a Program in Discipline - RequiredGraduate of a School of Nursing / College Nursing Education ProgramRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 daysAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - to be obtained within 6 monthsPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - to be obtained within 6 monthsRequired Licenses[West Virginia, United States] OtherCurrent licensure by WV State Board of Nursing.
