Has a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Drafting standards and applies them towards the execution of Sales Orders or ECNs. Capable of creating and modifying diagrams, piece part drawings and simple assemblies. Has a basic understanding of electrical symbology, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance principles.How you will do itRead and understand technical drawings of components such as instruments, control panels, starters, etc.Work with Engineers, other design personnel and shop personnel to insure proper design.Develop wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical 2024 (Bentley, Plant 3D or Inventor experience a plus).Develop 2D plan, elevation and section drawings of control panels using AutoCAD Electrical. Includes mounting components, terminal blocks, associative dimensioning and avoiding interference between equipment.Develop and implement designs for conduit and/or cable tray installations.Develop bills of material using MS Access database and web-based configuration tools.Check other drawings (peer checking).Work with Operations group personnel to answer questions, make corrections, etc.The ability to multitask and an attention to detail are a must.RequiredRequires an AS degree or equivalent from college or technical school or two (2) years related experience in electrical machinery design.
