The Metrology Specialist will be responsible for creating measurement plans and programs across a variety of measurement equipment and software. They will review, condition, and create measurement points in CAD using the source package, surrogate program data, critical parts lists, and cross-functional dimensional team feedback. Coordinate with BDT, the Control Plan, ASME, Validation, and Supplier Operations. The primary responsibility is focused on BIW sheet metal parts to support WPE, and the team will extend support to additional areas if the workload permits. The Die Engineer is responsible for supporting all die and hem die issues that occur in production. Issues include purchased commodities, surface defects, dimensional conformance, broken dies, and product ionizing events. The Die Engineer will review CN requests for feasibility, cost, and timing for current model requirements. Work with CTC, steel lab, and steel suppliers on MCM requests (Material Conservation Management). Support, lead, and assist all World Class Manufacturing (WCM) team initiatives by actively participating as a core member on WCM Teams to meet plant WCM objectives. Support plant for die design and product model management for die operation requirements. Lead die change requirements or initiatives required to meet overall Cp/Cpk, surface, engineering change requirements, and corporate targets for current model dies. Detail all issues in PowerPoint format, relay the necessary information to management/supervision, and follow the change throughout the process while working with the team to meet objective results.
